Before going forward, let me warn you, this ain’t your momma’s Aquaman.

 

And this ain’t no game!

Written by Geoff Johns with beautiful art by Ivan Reis and Joe Prado, Aquaman commands respect. What? What did I just say? Yea, you heard me, he commands respect! Finally, an Aquaman title that doesn’t make me gag after reading.

This guy read every Aquaman title, ever. He died 7 hours later.

The story starts out in a way no other Aquaman title has started before, by poking fun at his lameness. That’s right, not only does this book poke fun of the fact that Aquaman doesn’t have any street cred, but it also has a hilarious scene where Aquaman goes into a seafood restaurant and orders fish and chips!

What?! Guy’s gotta make a living!

This book has action(he stops a bank heist), it has comedy(fish and chips!!!), it has romance(sorta, him and Mera, hug) and it leaves us at a great cliff-hanger for the next issue.

Def. give this issue a try if you can still find it!
